"Slant" grip dagger handle

Excuse my ignorance but I need to ask you seasoned collectors just what is meant when I hear the phrase Slant Grip dagger handle.


I see many daggers for sale and I own a few Army daggers myself and wonder if they are slant grip or not.


Could someone show a slant grip next to a typical/standard grip handle?

Us army guys love them - they are of the earliest production.

And Thankyou WW2-Collector for adding your dagger to view. Ugly...that's in the eye of the beholder and for me it's a beautiful piece because I'm partial to named and unit marked daggers.

Once you know what to look for on a slant grip you can spot one from the next Isle over at a gun show , they really are quite different from the standard style .
