    Trench knife

    Thoughts on this knife. Unmarked and steel handle. Seems unusual to me.

    It has the correct scabbard, blade and guard. Not a handle that I am familiar with though.

      A good WW1 German private purchase ‘Leupold’ style trench knife with all steel one piece checkered hilt.
      A scarce model, no markings as usual with these.
      It has been suggested they were made by G Felix, Solingen, but I have no proof of this.

          As Cooky mentioned, this is a variant you don't see very often. The one posted seems to have been heavily cleaned, but they're hard to find any condition. The scabbard, grip, and crossguard would have been painted black originally. Here's another example.
