I have this sword knot and was wondering if this is a ww1 or ww2 knot and it whom it was for? I'm not much of a sword or dagger guy so I am a little lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like a sword knot from Sachsen.

Agree with Billy, Saxon officers knot, circa 1889-1893. according to Edged Weapons Accouterments book.
