    J.A. Henckels - SA

    Hello!

I wonder if Henckels marked daggers this way, is this marking ok?? If anyone has SA dagger with same double marking, please reply with your pictures, I would like to compare daggers.

    Thanks

      Looks to be fine.

This is a transitional mark that bridged the early maker marked and later RZM marked daggers. Fischer's Quick Reference doesn't show this exact mark on a SA blade but does show the same arrangement of the twins and RZM logo with SS codes and date.

      Hope this helps.

1936-1937 is so-called middle period of daggers production. A dagger made during this period, could contain company logo and RZM marks too.

Both marks at your dagger looks correct.

Here's a Henckels mark on my newest HJ knife with motto for another maker variation.

Out of the two I have this is the nicest. The other one has a very lite etch and doesn't photograph well.
