    Dress bayo a.-luneberg kiel

I think an extremely rare distributor mark for a standard dress bayonet; i read that it's very seldom seen on firemans' bayonets and the occasional navy dagger (incl. Imperial) but can't find even one reference for military models, let alone a photo! So, here's one for the database.

George? Frogprince? Mr. Wheeler? Billyg? All comments, insights welcome, many thanks and enjoy.

I agree, a rare distributor mark for a dress bayonet. When I was collecting fire bayonets, I encountered just one in about 18 years. That example was a short model of early quality with an Eickhorn hilt. The Lüneberg mark is almost always seen on Naval daggers.

Never seen a KS98 with the mark. It's also nice that it's dual marked by a Spitzer. I suspect this example would be very desirable to those guys who covet maker marks & such variations. Thanks for sharing it.

Yeah, too bad it is such a rare distributor on a Spitzer blade... it should have been on an Eickhorn.
