    Boot dagger real or repro???

    I have seen this boot dagger, not really my cup of tea. I guess I thought it was not a real one, but I don't know.
    Any help appreciated.

              Hi David, IMO nothing to worry about here. What you have is a very nice WWI Austo- Hungarian fighting knife. Perhaps it was passed down or carried over into the next war.

                You're thinking of an Austro-Hungarian Model 1917 fighting knife, that's a different knife entirely. This one is trying to be a WWII era Luftwaffe fighting knife, and it's not very close.

                  Yes, thank you. I'm very aware of that, but it's still a fine fighting knife , never said it was Luft.
