    SS Dagger from attic

    Hello Guys.

Do anyone can tell me something about this dagger? Is it possible to verify the manufacturer by recognizing the pin and eagle and pin? Eagle is made of aluminium, the pin seems to be made of brass, crossguard are made of nickel plated zinc. The condition is poor and the maker mark and motto isnt visible. Hope you like it even in this condition.

That looks like it's been sitting in water for a long time.

It's a discovery from attic of the abandoned house with destroyed roof, thats why the condition is so poor.

It has something unique. I would never try to restore that, just conserve as is, frame it and add a note where it was found.

Chris i will leave it untouched. I love how it looks. You can feel the fall of the third reich in this example. It was manufactured from low quality materials like steel screw and zinc instead of alpacca or aluminium. Also the beaten up condition has some kind of spirit which i like.
