Gravity knife

I have an inherited wwII gravity knife that needs some repairs. After reading through some thread, I found people recommending a guy in Michigan. Quote below;

‘ I can vouch for the gentleman from Warren, Michigan who repairs gravity knives. I just received my formerly inoperable non-takedown gravity knife from him today and he did a FANTASTIC job!

He fabricated the thumb lever and spring and I defy anyone to tell them from originals, plus his workmanship is second to none. His name is Tony and he owns his own tool & die shop. Anyway, the purpose of my thread is that I reached out through email and it no longer exists. That post was from 2007. I also tried the number. I’m wondering if anyone knows if Tony is still doing work and how to contact him? Or, if you have other gravity knife repair suggestions. Thanks

Unfortunately Tony has retired several years ago and does't do anymore repairs on Gravity knives. I don't know who else does, he was the best and the most reasonable.

Mack Pattarozzi from Eddy, Texas he repaired a knife for me some years ago. He also wrote a book about gravity knives. Wonder if he still repairs them

Yes, same guy.

That's too bad. Nice man. A loss to the hobby.
He was selling his dagger collection last time I saw him at the MAX. Guys were buying it up and the cash was flowing. He had his wife and daughter there to help. I recall him saying to me; "Now my family understands that it was indeed a investment".

Tony always came by to chat for minute, or ask my opinion on a dagger.
