hmmm...imo...looks like a Robert Klaas Model 232 handguard with a Horster blade...Klaas one of makers who made handles/guards with engraved eagles...cant see where Horster did this....Comment

Nice hand engraved dove head. Collectors often refer to these as a "Roon" pattern after the Eikhorn pattern so named.
Most manufacturers produced a pattern like this. One of the more expensive swords in most period catalogs due to the hand work involved.
