        hmmm...imo...looks like a Robert Klaas Model 232 handguard with a Horster blade...Klaas one of makers who made handles/guards with engraved eagles...cant see where Horster did this....

          Nice hand engraved dove head. Collectors often refer to these as a "Roon" pattern after the Eikhorn pattern so named.
          Most manufacturers produced a pattern like this. One of the more expensive swords in most period catalogs due to the hand work involved.

              I'm not home to look right now, but if you have Angolia's Swords of Germany book, you should be able to identify it in there
