The guards should not be made from solid nickel because that wouldn't be logic.
The fittings are very nicely executed. The guards have a mat finish due of time and should be made from aluminium which would be logic for this dagger.

Solid nickel guards are seen on early daggers. This one isn't early although has an early grip as well.

For sure a very interesting dagger. I like it all.

Using the Nickel-silver guards on transitional pieces seems a typical feature for Luneschloss.
