    Kriegsmarine WW2 dagger repair

Hi, I'm new to the site and I'm after some advice please

I have been gifted my grandfathers Kreigsmarine dagger which has been in the family since his return from WW2. Over the years it has sustained some wear and tear damage. I would love to get it repaired, does anyone know where I can get it done? Thanks

Hi ph29, Welcome to the forum.
Your in England correct ? I don't know of a quality restorer there. Here in the States we have a couple of good shops. Wittmann Militaria is one.

    Best of Hunt,
    Serge

I don't know of any in the UK either. Wittmann is the only one ive heard of who repairs navy daggers, he can get dents out of scabbards if that's the problem but I don't think grips can be repaired.

I would try Don Swanson for the grip repair.

To me , one that is repaired is worth less than a damaged one.

You can try this place in the UK:

            http://www.simplydaggers.co.uk/dagger-repairs.html

The owner of this website is a WAF member. I think his nickname is simplydaggers.
