    2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger

I've had this dagger for years and years. I was going to sell it but now I'm afraid . . . what do you think?

If I remember right that maker of the blade is post war. Rest of the dagger can be original. You normally see it on SA daggers without scabbards.

All dagger part are made in TR era, but they was put "together" after the end of WW2. Mostly as souvenirs for allied occupation troops who was served after the end of WW2 in in Germany.

These B&A 1939 marked daggers are post war assembled and, as Schlange stated, mostly sold as souvenirs to the troops stationed in Europe after the war.

IMO they are collectible in their own right and can be a neat addition to a Third Reich collection. I have seen these markings on Luft2s, Luft1s and SAs.

Occasionally, they will pop up for sale on dealer sites. And, dealers are asking several hundred dollars for them. I have one like yours, only with a leather scabbard, that I picked up on Tom Wittmann`s site about 5 years ago for $250.
