Hello Everyone.. I was set up at the Pomona show this past weekend and took this dual marked Eickhorn HJ knife in trade. Nice movement on the diamond and what I believe to be markings on the scabbard most likely put there by the vet. All thoughts and comments welcome. Thanks, BDM

It's a good looking knife. It looks like a date -1/36 on the back of the scabbard.

IMO original transitional HJ knife, produced by Carl Eickhorn Solingen during 1939.
            Unfortunately blade looks cleaned.

I forgot to mention "FO" marking - may be US Army "Forward Observers"?

Not sure it's a date since the knife wasn't made until 1939. JMO

1/36 is a unit marking. FO are more than likely the German owner's initials.

Thanks , but under the FO is the word PENNA which I thought stood for Pennsylvania?
