9th of Nov. 1934- SA presentation daggers

It is not often that a study can be made of a presentation daggers dedication made by two different makers.

Interesting to note that the etched dedication has the same date and style and wording but is slightly different from each other.
Other interesting is the dedications are from two different SA makers; August Bickel and Malsch & Ambronn. Both makers in Steinbach, and both crossguards stamped with Gruppe 'Mitte' (Mi).

Dr. Walter von Delius was a early NSDAP industrial supporter and his son was a race car driver during the Third Reich.

Something a little different for those who's thirst may quench for a taste of exotica.

    Best of Quest,
    Serge

Beautiful looking presentation daggers & an obviously important date. These are made so much better by the fact you know who the person on the blade is, super cool items!

Very nice and I really like the 9 Nov presentation which you rarely see on daggers.

Serge, what's the story on the condition of the Malsch dagger? Looks like it had a hard life.

Hi Manalishi, I don't recall the story exactly, but perhaps Paul H. does, as from my recollection the guy I bought it from, bought it from Paul, where in came in from 'The Woodwork'.
The story was it was found in attic where the dagger was exposed to moisture. It was found de-nazified.

Paul, you recall the story on this one ?

The August Bickel example 'Stormfighter' found with a vet grouping rather recently.

Forget the dagger, could you imagine having this 'space age' race car below ?

                              dedication

May I ask what the dedication says ?
