SS dagger with member's number - is it real?

I would sincerely appreciate any opinions as to the authenticity of this SS EM dagger with a stamped number on the cross guard. Also, is there any way to trace the original owner? Thanks. John

Dagger scabbard is replaced with later RZM type. (also look leather buffer pad)
Number belongs to SS mann Franz Raapitz.

One further bit of info, John: this early piece was issued through the SS Distribution Center in Dresden.

            Cheers,

              I'm with Schlange on this.
              Later RZM scabbard.
Leather buffer doesn't belong there originally.
              Dagger itself is nice though...

That's right: neither the SA, NSKK or the SS daggers of this design included buffer pads.
