    Thank you all for giving coments, I will not touch it in any way and look carefully after it that it does stay in this shape. (and mayby i am also able to hold it for about 65 years and give it then further towards the next one )

      Since this is military issue, can someone explain the RZM mark on the back of the hanger clip? I thought military items were not to be RZM marked though I have heard of some rare occasions when they were.

        Hi Richard, RZM marks found on clips etc are nothing to worry about and are perfectly acceptable.This was simply manufactures being thrifty and using these RZM marked parts. After all, a clip is a clip and will serve the same purpose.

        I have an Heer Officers M36 tunic with a dagger hanger, which has an RZM marked clip in it.

        But RZM marked blades on military daggers are
