Kriegsmarine dagger Damascus blade hubertus + hirschkrone solingen LION dagger !!

    Hi all,

I recently picked these up with a collection of German militaria and was wondering what these blades are! I beleive one is a 1950's German made Damascus Kriegsmarine style short blade, but have never seen such a strange variation before - the scabbard appears to be spray-painted silver! The other one is maker marked "Hirschkrone Solingen" , is engraved and colored on the blade with a picturesque nature scene, and has two lions on the handle.

If anyone had any idea what these are I wold greatly appreciate it, apologies in advance if these do not belong in this section

    Cheers!

The Hubertus dagger is a postwar item cobbled together from some period parts and some post-1945 parts. The blade, which is artificial damascus and not true damascus, is definitely post-1945. It was likely constructed for GIs.

No idea on the other one but I would also suspect it is not 3R production.
