    NSKK-dagger

    Dear Members!

Not long ago I bought an NSKK-dagger (see in the picture). I would like to ask Your opinions from the dagger. The Seller assures me, that it’s 100% original. Because of the price, I would like to be sure, it is really authentic. Was in manufactured during the WW II, or after the War?
    Thank You in advance!

IMO dagger scabbard is repainted sometime in the past. When?

It doesn't look repainted to me.
IMHO most collectors would prefer original paint on a RZM NSKK.

          NSKK dagger

          Dear Everybody,
thanks for the opinions, comments so far very much.
The dagger came to me in this state. The seller did not mention that the frame was repainted. I'm waiting for more opinions about the dagger. If possible, I would like to learn more about.
          Best regards:

I also think that the paint is original. Like tranchant said it is not in best condition but still OK.

IMO looking closely it appears there are some previously corroded spots that may have been covered with a re-paint.

This is a later production piece from the firm of E. u. F. Hörster of Solingen. It appears to me to be in original condition, though that condition has been negatively effected by being stored where humidity fluctuation has caused the finish to bubble on the scabbard body as well as on the plated crossguards and the scabbard fittings. The blade and the grip appear to be in very good condition.

                Sorry about that bubbling...
