    mint SA dagger with uncommun leather sheath

    hello, here is my new found: a mint SA dagger with this Strange leather sheath over the scabbard. Have you ever seen such sheath????

          You're right on the money there, Ed -- that sheath has kept the scabbard in beautiful condition! I've never seen such a sheath represented during the period and I can't imagine that it would have been permitted to be worn this way, but such a sheath used to keep the dagger clean and undamaged when not in wear would have been a great idea.

                  I once bought one where the scabbard had been covered in flock wallpaper
                  Whoever did it made a brilliant job!
                  And have had several with fringed leather covers like a western bowe
                  The funniest was one covered in tin foil then the whole thing paint gold
                  The kid had gone to Saturday morning cinema and watched buck Rogers
                  When he got home he asked his dad for a space dagger

                    I think there is a misunderstanding of the word "mint".

                    That means "exactly as it left the factory".

                    This is hardly "mint"
