Just picked this up. Sadly the scabbard is mismatched but otherwise very nice. Made by E.u.F. Hörster, maybe around 36-7?

Scabbard is marked 4432 C

The K after the maker code indicates 1934.

G would be 1935.

After that they went 36, 37 etc. Apparently not trying to,hide it anymore.

Bayonet S84/98 is a postwar GDR rework, note the chequered flashguard backspine, the plastic grips are not proper (started life with wood) on the early S/155 K production, Hoerster 1934. b.r.Andy
