    Water Protection dagger

    Hi guys,
Just aquired this today and would like some opinions. Hopefully the pictures are Ok, if Not, I will take some in the sunlight if needed. I unscrewed the pommel a little to show the green oxidation that has built up over the years. It seems to be in real nice shape.

A tough call to make, as these are little more than a Navy dagger with a leather-wrapped grip. From the photos, it looks okay. One question, though - did you have the pommel unscrewed from the grip or the photo? That looks to be the case, but I wanted to be sure.

                    Best,

yes, I unscrewed the Pommel just for the Photo. I wanted to show the green oxidation.

Looks like the real deal to me also. Grain of leather is correct.

Thanks Don, I was pretty sure it was good due to the source. when I bought it, I thought that it was just a Navy dagger. Man was I surprised when I got out my reference books.
This was bought from the son of a WW2 German Vet who passed recently.
