H & P K Maker's Mark Letter Code or Distributor's Mark on Fireman Short Dress Bayonet

I could use some help on identifying the mark on this bayonet. I would like to know where the manufacturing company was located and when it was made. I am guessing it was made between 1937 and 1945. The mark has the letters H & P K inside of an upside down triangle.

Welcome to the forum! Your bayonet appears to be a long model rather than a short model.

The mark of H&PK inside a triangle has been a mystery to me for the 15 years or so that I have collected fireman's bayonets.

I've searched Fisher's guide & any other reference I could find & have never been able to identify the mark as of yet.

I suspect it is a distributor based on the relative infrequency of the mark being seen & added to that, the fact I've never seen the H&PK mark on anything but a fireman's bayonet. There are at least several distributors that apparently only distributed fire bayonets.

      Thank you Billy G.
The blade length is just over 9 3/4", so I thought it was a short. If I find a distributor named H & P K on German Google, I'll be sure to post it. It's a challenge to search German web sites since I don't read German.
