This logo looks like one of the several logos used by the Eickhorn firm from 1933 to 1935.

This is the kind of article that would usually have been discarded by the person who received the sword originally, just the way we do with wrappers, bags, cartons and such material today. Being apparently unused, it probably came from the Eickhorn factory. A very nice accent piece for a cutlery display.
