    H.j dagger buffer

I am looking for the leather buffer to fit an early knife is it possible to fit
one from a late model, thanks.

Later model hj knife buffer will not fit an early thin blade hj knife, different size holes & fitted differently at the factory,

The buffer on a later hj knife is fitted during the construction process of the knife & cannot be taken off unless you remove the grips & then punch out the rivet that holds the blade into the hilt, the early hj knife buffer simply slides over the width of the blade, if you have an old piece of leather the same thickness its best to make your own, just measure the width of the blade at the widest part as that will be your centre hole size, draw an oval shape roughly the same as the origional buffer which is not wider than the hilt then do the centre hole & cut it out carefully with sharp sissors, sometimes best to do a cardboard template first then mark it out your leather.
