    Portepee?

    A friend showed me a Luftwaffe dagger he was buying from a vet's son (I know, I know) and it had this tied to the suspension rings. What is it really for and is it worth anything? My friend was wondering what to offer for the set.

    It's cloth not leather.

      That's a Polizei NCO knot for a bayonet. Nice condition, probably worth $75, give it take.
