SS Chained Dagger Replacement Clip

I wanted to kick this one to the SS dagger experts

I took this dagger in during a trade deal knowing that the clip had been replaced or changed, my question is does it look like it could have been a period replacement from anyones experience. The overall patina is fitting and seems even and the soldering job is a bit sloppy. I know that these details dont matter that much the job could have been done by a vet so his kid could play with it in the 1950's all thoughts will be very helpful.

I feel it just broke off and was reattached.
Patina looks OK; it's just a repaired item.
It's not a big deal.

Notice how both of the top 'links' have separated. It happens.
These things got wear and tear.
