its a shame its not in better condition (no scabbard?) it looks like a "Roon" but with an unusual cross guard eagle,cannot find a similar model in the book "Swords of Germany 1900/1945 in the Eickhorn section.John

Looks like original TR Heer sabre produced by Car Eickhorn Solingen - Roon Pattern Field Marshal. The above sabre series had few" subspecies".
