    SA Presentation Dagger (Honor Dagger?)

    SA Presentation Dagger (Honor Dagger?)

I'm calling BS on this one, but it sure is well done. Opinions welcome, but I believe this is an Eastern fake. Ed

IMO original Buldog SA dagger with postwar leather on scabbard engraving job on dagger solid nickle parts. (pity, Buldog is rare SA dagger producer)

Do you know what really pisses me off about this? Someone took a perfectly good Bulldog SA & ruined it.

All junk now. was probably junk before. See hanger scabbard ring, pitted and brazed welded.

Is it made to honor the lizard or the fish?

What a waste of a rare Bulldog trademark SA

As just a footnote to this discussion, the McSARR chart lists the manufacturer, Bulldog, as #8 on a scale of 1 (most common) to 10 (most rarely seen). Of course, the McSARR chart only grades examples of the earliest issued SA Standard Service Daggers, but if the piece in question had been such an early example, that would add to it's uniqueness.

                          Cheers,

                          Br. James

Aside from the obvious, ruining a nice original. I like the looks of it, so the scammer who contrived it took their time. The grips are a first for me.
