Here is what i believe to be an Imperial cavalry sword. This belongs to and was inherited by a co-worker and he wanted some info on the piece. It is maker marked under the guard but i can not make it out as the guard is bent down making it hard to see. Really neat etch of the Kaiser on the blade. Can you sword collectors give us information if this blade etch is a common or rare type. Any detailed information on the sword would be appreciated.

Circa 1910 or earlier the etch is one of the scarcer ones, with possibly one of the larger type of hilts (or not - in hand or a side by side image with an average Imperial or TR saber needed). With the saber itself a Cavalry Officer's model. FPComment
