    Luft fighting knife "S" stamped

What is know about the Luft fighting knive stamped with "S" and not with the Solingen Luftamt 5 or 6?

(Just to understand the knife pattern I'm asking about: http://www.germanmilitaria.com/Luftw...s/L020673.html )

Was it wartime manufactured or even postwar?

    thanks

The S is also found on late war Fliegerkappmessers manufactured by SMF. The lack of LuftAmt 5 might be due to loss of tools...

The maker of the Luft fighting knives marked "S" is unknown at this time, they can also be found marked with a "W", also unknown.

        Thanks guys

Yes, S and W are unknown, but might it be also a postwar production?

S and W might be acceptance for two different producers, so ok the hypothesis of the broken tool, but both producer's tools broke?
Just my opinion, but might it be an acceptance when 3rd Reich fell and the nazi symbols became out of law?

As far as I know, the LuftAmt stamp was not in the possesion of the manufacturer... Which mean that if the tools were lost, a couple of producers would be affected. Correct?
