              Is this for sale?
If not you need to post it in the proper forum.

Are the fittings brass? Have you seen one of these in any text? I'd like to know more about this one myself.

                    It sure is shiney!

I have never seen a real NSKK Marine dagger in person. I will leave the evaluation to the experts.

If it is real, it is a very rare bird. The copper/gold plating looks almost new. Most of the ones I have seen pictured look like the plating comes off pretty easy. Is there a way to tell if it was done post war?

To be honest i have no idea .I am not a dagger collector thats why my friend asked me to post it for evaluation.

The dagger itself looks ok from the pics. At least the chain does. Not sure about the gilding. Would have to see it in person.

Have to agree with Brenie, I think the it's an original dagger, I'm just not so sure about the finish. I've only seen a couple of these but the gold was much more subdued. Maybe just the photos, but I'm cautious on the gilding.
