    i would look to Saxon Gendarmery area,Weimar or earlier period? The marking on crossguard is typical for Wuerttemberg ? b.r.Andy

      Very nice Gendarmerie sword which I believe dates from the early 3R period, based on that Eick maker mark. I would agree with Andy that it resembles a Sachsen sidearm but the marking doesn't look Sachsen, Württemburg is a good guess. George W. will know for sure.
