My latest find, directly from the nephew of the NSKK man who wore the dagger in Germany in 1942. Nicest one I have veteran purchased in 55 years of collecting.

Wow! Now this one really looks like it came right out of the shop window! The term "minty" doesn't come near to capturing the condition of the entire piece, including the scabbard! Obviously Eickhorn was still turning out fine products as late as 1942, but this surely must have been one of the last pieces completed during the wartime economy??

A really nice example of a late dagger, Eickhorn may have been forced to use substitutes in making them, but they still had quality workmanship. FP
