early Ed Wüsthof SA dagger w/ Assman hanger

    Hello all,

Just wanted to share this gorgeous Wüsthof I picked up for my collection. The color of this one is simply amazing and truly I think this is one of the most beautiful daggers I have ever seen. Hope you like it as much as I do!

Indeed, that small maker mark indicates that this blade had a Röhm dedication when it left the factory. The removal was done professionally and -fortunately- the Wüsthöf mark was kept almost completely intact.

                  A great score indeed!

WOW! I'm with you, William -- one NEVER sees an early SA in such pristine condition! NO damage or scraping to the scabbard body or to the tip ball, the grip fit is perfect -- no shrinking to the wood over the decades -- and the hanger is as mint as the rest of the piece! The blade is gorgeous, too, even with the Röhm dedication removed; the motto highlighting is still fresh. A beauty from SA-Gruppe Westfalen, NO DOUBT!

                    Congrats to you, my friend,

                    Br. James

Thanks again for the compliments. I've handled so many over the years and I looked at this one and I knew right away it was the "one" and it took a long time of searching but it was well worth it.
