Was happy to get this scarce maker in

Nice light smokers film on the hardware,,,blade is not mint but nothing to kick out of bed either.

The action of removing it from scabbard is almost hydraulic,,,,smoothest I have ever experienced.

A lovely, early piece made for an SA Mann in SA-Gruppe Bayerische Ostmark. The grip is a beautiful color, and the scabbard appears to be fully intact...no dents or scrapes. A fine addition to any collection!

Hi Münster / D,

See my previous note. The reason you "could not ID Gau BO" was because those marks did not represent Gau names; they represented SA or NSKK Group names -- in this case SA Group Bayerische Ostmark. In many cases these names coincided, but as you see, not all SA-Gruppen names were the same as Gau names. And the geographical territories covered by each were different, as well.
