Number on a HJ knife ???

Do you know the meaning of this number "41" on the blade of this HJ Knife ?

Year when these knife was produced - in these chase 1941. Carl Eickhorn Solingn was often used these type marking for year of production.

Is there no RZM mark on this knive?

Knife blade looks re-sharped. Maybe producer stamp was "removed" during the re-sharp process.

I have a similar 41 only Eickhorn HJ knife.

My theory is that the RZM stamp was applied separately from the date stamp and a small production batch missed out on the RZM stamping process.

Mine sure doesn't look like the RZM markings were removed or buffed out.

Which makes this an interesting TM variation for Eickhorn collectors.

I would say there some differences in the number of the two pieces and if I look at the shape of the blade of the knife from Treadstarter ,it is maybe the perspective of the pictures, but the tip of the blade looks like precisly in the middle. This shouldn´t be like this.
But if you wanna know more detailed pictures would be better.
