Wim, Killer piece with some great features!! Like you say its a type 2 Holler and they aren't easy to find. Super condition, patina and that grip is a real beauty! Now lets talk about the personalization, very interesting and I am sure period script, really sets off any dagger to be named. The hangers are just great too early ones there! I have a set with the cross hatching on the leather tabs like that.. yours is the only other pair I have seen like it! .. Thumbs up all around! Congrats! Kevin.

Very nice Heeresdolch Wim! You are definately hooked...
I looked up the name Schult in the 1944 Rangliste des Heeres, without success. Also the RK and DKiG lists yielded no such name.
Nevertheless, "Schult" is a German surname, there are more than 1000 people with that name in the Telefonbuch."Wir Deutschen fürchten Gott und sonst nichts auf der Welt " BISMARCK

Beautiful Dagger Heer Wim Vangossum , With Daggers Heer manufacturing " Höller " must go very carefully because " Marto " were manufactured in Spain for a while, this is not the case and you have a ' Höller ' without no doubt its authenticity , I like the personalization of its original owner at the time and the characteristic color of your grip , mate congratulations !!!
