need help identifying mystery tool knife

a strange knife in my uncle's father's bring back collection which has me stumped. it is of similar quality to a luftwaffe trench knife, but has these strange "swiss army knife tools" which are blued. any ideas on what the heck it is and value?

            Brian,

What you have there is combination trench knife that was issued as an accessory for the MG-34 light machine gun. One of the tools (the spiky thing next to the can opener) is a spent shell extractor which should be marked "Patronenheber MG 34". I have no idea as to value, but they are rare.

"First, welcome to the forum Gewehr43. The knife you have posted can be seen in Thomas M. Johnson's VII volume of Collecting the Edged Weapons of the Third Reich, pages 332 - 334. He describes them as "a unique boot knife." He goes on to talk about them and describes them as being "issued to certain specialist units such as machine gun crews." Here too is a post from this reference. Hope this helps.

BTW, I can check, but I don't think he has the scabbard. he has been using it for things like opening boxes, utility, etc.!
