    Hello!
Prompt please - this dagger good correct or fake? Whether it is possible to trust such examination without photos?
Causes concern very good safety of paint on a sheath. Whether there are no pieces from other producer here?
I am in advance grateful for the help. Yours faithfully Konstantin.

What's with the pommel nut? Slotted head?

In your picture the dagger is presented in conjunction with a c.o.a. from Thomas Johnson's firm. Is this c.o.a. for the dagger you show here? i.e., was the dagger you query sourced from Tom Johnson?

          Hi Konstantin,

I'd like to see some much closer-up photos of both the dagger and the scabbard. From what I can see, the scabbard body paint appears to be pristine...which does not indicate that this piece is over 70 years old. And the grip does not appear to fit well to the crossguards, which would have been hand-mated at the Emil Voos factory...

I don't call into question the conclusion of Tom Johnson. I was surprised by absence of the photos attached to the conclusion. I saw only papers from Vayttsa earlier, and there is a photo.
On a sheath there are scratches, under them white metal is visible, but in some places black paint is visible... It surprises me - the recoloured NSKK? A soil covering before painting at factory? Or already restoration attempts?
The handle doesn't coincide with metal metals? Now I will remake a photo - I took away a subject from the seller, I will show more exactly, without inclination when shooting. The eagle on a handle corresponds to this producer?
What is "pommel nut"? The top nut on a handle? There deep defects of metal from bad untwisting.

Ok my view is with the amount of action the pommel have seen one should be suspicious!
Its clearly an RZM piece, but imo looks like an early style grip with nickel eagle?
The guards are the plated type which are showing some lifting starting near the wood as usually seen.
The screw on the lower scabbard fitting is very very high.
I would need clearer pictures of the motto before I put my head on the chopping block, but either way with the faults ive meantioned, it wouldn't be for me.
