    Sa dagger for review

    Dear All,

I have the possibility to buy this dagger.
In my opinion is ok, pretty nice and original.

Do you see any red flags in this dagger?

Through the RZM number can you confirm who is the manufacturer?

Have you any idea abou the estimated price? I would say according the condition of the dagger, about 400 Eur.

Thank you in advance for your opinions

    Regards

M7/12 is for WMW Waffenfabrik Max Weyersberg, Solingen.
400 euros is the correct price for this one in my opinion, not good deal, not bad deal.

I agree: it looks like an original late issue Weyersberg to me. The scabbard ball is unusually nice and undisturbed, though the overall appearance leaves much to be desired, given the surface condition. The hardware plating and the scabbard paint has been damaged and has peeled, probably due to poor storage conditions. And the blade has lost most of it's motto highlighting, probably due to over-polishing...which may have taken place during the period.

If it were for sale on the estand, I do not think this SA dagger would sell for $450 (400 Euro). It looks like a sale maybe at $350 in it's condition.

450$ for such dagger? Great for seller, bad for buyer.
