SS Dagger For Review

I take it this is a later SS dagger or a parts dagger. I know it is rough, but what would it be worth? It is coming up at a local auction soon.

It is a fair condition late. Great starter. $ 1,000 to 1,200. Has all the right problems.

I wouldn't pay over $1000 max including auction fees. I do like the grip and the scabbard though to use as parts.

If you buy it twoodson 412 don't consider Reichskanzlers idea of using the grip and scabbard as parts, there are enough parts daggers out there without creating another one, its things like that which spoil this hobby and make it hard for us to find an original unmessed with piece. Id rather have a dagger in this condition than a piece that was put together/created yesterday.

I would suggest not getting into it at all. Last photo shows perhaps blade sharpening.

When you eventually upgrade, these type of daggers are hard to sell.
Others may think different.

Wags is right, the last picture shows fine sharpening on the left hand side. I would save your money for something better, you'll eventually be happier.
