    SA Dagger Scabbard

What do you guys think of this scabbard? Does it appear to be repainted/rechromed? If so, newer or older repaint? I will probably sell this piece in the future.
    Regards, Hayden

Well from pics and lighting it appears IMHO to be repainted, also from pics the screws do not look like they sit right. I would post some side shots of screws to see if they been turned. TPK

Screw heads do not appear to have to much damage that you see if played with, good sign, any paint over spray on upper or lower fittings?

No overspray that I can see. The fittings look very clean.

Are these conical(countersunk) head screws? Looks like it. If they are then
                The scabbard does look repainted.

These are not conical screws. They are the regular SA dagger screws that I have seen on daggers.

looks like it has been taken apart and re painted. The top and bottom polished or re plated with strange screws

Upon further inspection, it appears that this scabbard does not even have the ability to have the throat and runners removed, the crews are for show. The top fitting is one solid piece. I got this real cheap so it is not a big deal. Do they make reproductions of these?

That is indeed an obvious and cheap copy: screws, ring, fittings , paint and of course the throat are completely wrong and different from the original.

The dagger that comes with these looks like a toy, complete with plastic grip!

                          Best regards,

                          Victorman
