Post war Forestry Dagger?

    The accepted wisdom is the etched maker mark on Eickhorn Forestry/Hunting/Shooting daggers was used post-1945. Eickhorn did use etched logos pre-1945 but not on the above mentioned models. Also, post-1945 logos will also be facing the opposite as the pre-1945 stamped logos.

    As Paul points out, this dagger is still a quality piece & still has value, just not as much as if it were produced pre-1945.

        I have an post war Eickhorn forestry catalogue that shows many of the same models being sold as in pre war times, Ie patterns 26 and 36. But this is a post war catalogue. The tell is in the maker mark used and in the orientation of the mark to the crossguard.
