HJ Knife fresh out of the Woodwork

Yesterday I purchased this A. Schuttelhofer & Co. Hitler Youth Knife from the daughter of a U S veteran. The blade shows the motto on one side and the RZM mark and maker mark on the other. The blade has been sharpened at some point. The hilt and black plastic are fine and the HJ symbol is excellent. At some point, someone put tape on the front of the scabbard which had a deleterious effect on the paint. the black leather hanger is in nice shape and I think I see a maker mark - L.S.

I am guessing this is probably 1936 -1938 manufacture - but not sure. Opinions and comments are requested. Thanks RichFlag, HJ knife 005.jpg

origional blued finish under the black paint on the scabbard maybe ?

pity about the heavy sharpening.
