Hi Victorman,
Please clarify something for me: in the photo in your post #31, the blade on the dagger on the left side of the photo appears to be almost flat, as opposed to the angled blade on the right. Is this merely a condition caused by the lighting of the photo...or something more?
Cheers,
Br. James

Thx, Mac.
That is just the picture, James.
The Röhm dedication was removed, that is all.
By the way, that one has a bench mark: "4".
Best regards,

Thanks for your response, Victorman.
Wags certainly shows us a beautiful piece!
And the example from Merdock is exciting to me -- the product of someone who wanted to show that he knew the rule on removing the Röhm inscription and TRIED to comply! I love that blade!
Cheers to all on this D-Day + 70 Years!

Another beauty; thanks for sharing it, Adam! Having personally known a WWII vet here in the USA who picked up a HJ Knife in Germany and kept it on the work bench in his basement, where he used and abused it as any tool and sharpened it regularly, I never assume that a sharpened blade was done during the Third Reich.
Too bad that this piece was sharpened, but an SA member would not have been the one to sharpen this rare dagger...IMO, of course!
Cheers,
Br. James
