Got this K98 bayonet and frog a while ago. I was wondering if they were issued to soldiers headed to Africa only or also issued along with the leather frogs. I can not make out any stamps on the frog, but it does have smaller stitching running vertical and horizontal to the main stitching.

These type of bayonet frog was also used in Mediteran coast area.
(In fact, the vast majority of them.)

The frog looks like made from captured web material, but maybe i am wrong, the bayonet was partly sharpened on blade. br.AndyComment
