The dagger looks like a period "crackle-finish" Helbig with aluminum fittings which would be consistent with what I've seen on these daggers. The blade appears to be in nice shape with an intact maker's mark. The Helbig mark is lightly etched on these & sometimes is worn away by polishing.

I've seen late model Helbigs with swazs that were black or had the black worn away leaving just a black outline or sometimes gold.

The thing that looks odd are the swaz roundels which seem slightly too small, I think the roundels here might be replacements.

This dagger was most likely de-nazified and an attempt was made to repair it. Looks like early roundels were added.

By the way, the hanger also got repaired with the wrong pieces.

Correct, the HKs are replacements & sized too small. Hermann is also correct that the hanger was fixed as well. From what I can see, the rest of the dagger is period & nice.
