Opinions on an SS Dagger?

I've been offered the dagger shown in the attached photos. I have little knowledge on edge weapons & even less on SS daggers. I would greatly appreciate any and all comments as to originality and any unique issues. The condition is fair to average at best. I believe the scabbard has been repainted and the blade is stained. Oddly, however, the blade is not pitted. A large chunk of the handle missing on the lower front just above the cross guard. This damage allows the handle to wobble a bit. The asking price is $1,500 but may be negotiable.

I would pass on it!
The grip doesn't match these guards,the runes looks questionable like
the TM,to name a few. Partsdagger at best.

I think the rune button have a chance.. But also looks re- inserted,,

A good advice... Save your money and move on..there are much nicer ss daggers out there..

Sound advice and what I expected to hear, more or less. Sad too, as it's not every day an "out of the woodwork" dagger is offered. Thanks for taking the time to offer your expertise. I believe I will be passing on this piece.
