        Tropical frog and SGX44 Scabbard

I purchased this bayonet today and have brought it home. Sadly it hasn't got matching numbers. But the tropical frog looks good and it has an interesting late war scabbard SGX44 9165 ? Grey Ghost. The knife is a E.u.F Hörster 469 K?
dated 1938. The frog looks to me to be light green and quite large. Is this fairly common to find, would like to get some more info about the frog, and if its early or late war?

I have taken quite a few Pictures. The first pictures captures the colors on the frog very well.

        Thanks

There are fakes out there so caution IMO is always a good idea. That said, this one in the images from what I can see I think is period. With color a subjective assessment because to me it looks more like an greenish olive drab. With colors ranging from the early no tie strap version in an olive drab, to "sandy" (Luftwaffe), blue (also Luftwaffe), a "forrest" green (earlier) and if I had to make a guess here, not in hand, later but not the latest. With this one also a little larger than is oftentimes seen which make me think later. And if that is not confusing enough there are also some dated 1942 frogs in an olive drab. Best Regards, FP

I feel comfortable it's an original. Have all the right wear and patina.
But yes confusing with all the variants.
