RLB Dagger for opinions

Although the condition looks very nice from this view, there needs to be much better photos.
For me, the important parts on RLB daggers are as follows, starting with the most important.
1. Condition of and remaining enamel on grip insignias.
2. Blade condition
3. Grip chips or repairs.
4. Original paint on scabbard.
5. Original hanger leather.
On this 2nd Model RLB em you show, the grip looks a bit shiny. It should be stained with black dye, not painted (perhaps there were some very early examples painted, I just haven't seen it, but am open to it.)
The cross guard looks to have a odd finish, almost like it was sandblasted. I have not seen that before.
Valuations: I don't quote prices anymore, and I think you will find most will refrain from that also, due to past negative experiences.
Always get a inspection privilege as photos at times don't tell the whole story until you inspect it 'in-hand'.
Hope that helps.

I have to agree with Wags, from the pics the dagger looks like a period example of a 2nd model EM but better pics are needed to verify some things that look "interesting". That crossguard finish does look quite odd. An in-hand inspection is best & inspection period should be a must, but those are things that you should seek on any transaction.
